Handy spice blend to have on hand for all sorts of recipes including:

  • Add to your soups and stews for that extra spicy flavour hit.
  • Use as rub for grilled chicken, beef, pork, and seafood.
  • Goes well with seafood, especially on prawns.
  • Sprinkle it in your bread mix when crumbing chicken
  • Mix with olive oil to make a simple sauce and mix through rice.
  • Great to use on BBQ day, generously sprinkle over your meats while cooking
  • Mix in your hamburger and meatball mixes.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbs cumin powder
  • 2 tbs coriander powder
  • 2 tbs sweet paprika
  • 1.5 tsp sea salt
  • 1.5 tsp ground black peppercorn
  • 1 tbs dried oregano leaves
  • pinch of cayenne chilli pepper – careful with this one 🙂

Directions

  1. Blend all herbs and spices in a bowl.
  2. Store in a sealed container in the pantry away from heat and light.
  3. Use within 6 months.
